It couldn’t be easier to get here! The science centre is in Times Square, which is fully accessible with dropped curbs across the site.
Travelling by train, Metro or bus? We are a 5-minute walk from the station, and buses stop in front of Times Square on Westmorland Road. See below for more details, including how kids can travel for free.
Driving? Times Square Car Park is just around the corner. The sat nav reference for the car park is NE1 4AD (opposite Leonardo Hotel – formerly Jurys Inn). Look out for Centre for Life and/or Times Square Car Park signage to direct you.
Life is located close to Newcastle Central Station with frequent bus routes stopping in front of Times Square on Westmorland Road. During the school holidays, up to three kids ages 11 and under can travel on buses for free with a fare-paying adult. Exclusions apply.
Taking the metro? Up to three kids aged 11 and under can travel for free on Metro and the Shields Ferry, all day, every day when accompanied by a fare-paying adult.
There are cycle racks in Times Square for you to lock up your bike.

Our multi-storey car park is just a stone’s throw away from the science centre and you can even pre-book online when purchasing your admission tickets.
